The distressed sole has actual traction, walked from UAA to Downtown on a drizzly 50 degree day and didn't slip once. The all-black upper hides mud and dirt which is essential for Alaska life. The multi-texture mesh is layered perfectly, the translucent under-layer peeks through exactly like retail. 13 days to the 907 which is fast for Alaska shipping, customs at the distribution center was smooth. The LED on these Runners is not some cheap gimmick, the light pattern is crisp and the battery lasted the whole night. Charged em via USB-C before heading out, took about an hour. The distressed sole is spot on too, looks like a $1,200 retail pair that's been archived. Deadass the conversation starter of the year.

The Balenciaga Runner LED is literally the most talked about shoe in my rotation rn. Turned the lights on walking through Lake Merritt at dusk and a group of cyclists stopped me to ask what they were. Battery life is solid, I've worn em 4 times and only charged once. The black mesh upper breathes well too, perfect for Oakland weather. Came with the charging cable and Balenciaga box, packaging was A1. 12 days to the Bay.

The wine red accents on this Balenciaga Runner make it the most interesting pair in my collection. The deep red against the white creates a look that pairs well with earth tones. The cushioning is comfortable and the shoe has held up through regular rotation.

The Runner Black is actually a work of art disguised as a sneaker. The distressed midsole looks like it's been through a fashion war and the contrast with the clean black upper is cinema. Wore em to a Spanish Town block party and then walked to the LSU lakes, handled grass, sidewalk, and a spilled daiquiri without a scratch. Ik ik light up sneakers sound corny but these Balenciagas hit different. The LED is integrated into the distressed sole not the upper, so it's subtle until you turn it on. Took these to the Never Forget showcase in Charlotte and had sneakerheads twice my age asking to see the light pattern. UNCC campus by day, underground show by night, these handle both. No glaze, $149 is barely a fraction of retail.

These are giving cyberpunk dystopia in the best way possible. Wore em to a night set at Red Rocks and the LED was visible from like 50 feet away. The all-black upper is tuff even with the lights off, doesn't look like a light-up shoe when it's not activated which is key. Walked from Boulder campus to the Hill and back and they're actually comfortable, not just a show piece. $149 shipped to CO was 11 days.

Balenciaga Runner Black

Runner Blacks are the sleeper Balenciaga sneaker and I'll die on that hill. The all-black is giving stealth operator but make it runway. Took these to a concert at the RiverCenter and the distressed sole caught the stage lights in a way that made them look archival. Walked the CSU campus in 95 degree Georgia heat and the mesh breathing was clutch, no hotbox situation. The Balenciaga logo on the lateral side is the correct font weight, not that thick bold that budget batches print. 10 days to the 706. My sneaker rotation just got a permanent new member.
