These are giving cyberpunk dystopia in the best way possible. Wore em to a night set at Red Rocks and the LED was visible from like 50 feet away. The all-black upper is tuff even with the lights off, doesn't look like a light-up shoe when it's not activated which is key. Walked from Boulder campus to the Hill and back and they're actually comfortable, not just a show piece. $149 shipped to CO was 11 days.

Pkgod Air Jordan 5 Retro Black Metallic (2016) 845035-003

Black Metallic 5s are the only Jordan where the shark teeth actually improve the fit instead of just being decoration. The metallic midsole plate gives the shoe structure, not just looks. Walked from Drake University through the East Village to the Iowa State Capitol and back, that's a solid 4 mile round trip, and the Air unit in the heel is actually responsive. The 3M tongue pops so hard in flash photography, took a group photo at a Des Moines kickback and my feet stole the whole picture. $109 to the 515, 10 days. The 2016 Black Metallic 5 with the Nike Air heel is the only version that matters, the 2020 Jumpman heel is not the same energy. PK batch got the nubuck texture exactly right, it's soft but not that ashy suede you see on budget reps. Rocked these at the BayFest afterparty on Dauphin Street and the blue-tinted outsole caught the neon signs like jewelry. South Alabama campus by day, Downtown Mobile by night, these handle both. Balenciaga Runner Black

Runner Blacks are the sleeper Balenciaga sneaker and I'll die on that hill. The all-black is giving stealth operator but make it runway. Took these to a concert at the RiverCenter and the distressed sole caught the stage lights in a way that made them look archival. Walked the CSU campus in 95 degree Georgia heat and the mesh breathing was clutch, no hotbox situation. The Balenciaga logo on the lateral side is the correct font weight, not that thick bold that budget batches print. 10 days to the 706. My sneaker rotation just got a permanent new member.
